The College of Engineering Architecture and Technology (CEAT) at Oklahoma State University is pleased to invite applications for a non-tenure-track Faculty position with expertise in thermal fluids systems engineering. Candidates with professional experience in design and management of thermal-fluid system design and prototype development and an interest in teaching and mentoring undergraduate engineering students are encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. from an accredited engineering program with significant industrial and teaching experience is preferred but candidates with an MS degree and exceptional work experience will be considered. The successful applicant will have demonstrated success or show promise as an excellent teacher and or mentor and in developing interdisciplinary laboratory and design experiences at the undergraduate level. The position will be associated with Endeavor the new 72 000 square foot interdisciplinary College of Engineering Architecture and Technology (CEAT) undergraduate laboratory scheduled to open in the fall semester of 2018 and reports to the CEAT Endeavor Director and the CEAT Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. Responsibilities include (1) managing Endeavor s thermal-fluid laboratories (2) developing and leading interdisciplinary capstone design teams in the thermal-fluids area (3) collaborating with CEAT department heads and faculty to develop and teach thermal-fluid laboratory experiences for specific courses in the CEAT undergraduate programs and (4) developing and teaching formative experiences in modeling analysis design and measurements to support thermal-fluid systems design. While the position has a 9-month appointment period there may be opportunities for up to three additional months of summer salary support associated with teaching or research. Working in an engineering lab environment including working around high voltage equipment and compressed gas cylinders. Minimum Qualifications Master s Degree in a field closely aligned to thermal-fluid systems. Must hold an earned MS degree from an institution of higher learning accredited by a regional accrediting agency. Successful candidates must have five years of relevant experience and demonstrated potential for developing interdisciplinary undergraduate laboratory and design experiences and for excellent teaching at the undergraduate level. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. Ed.D. Research or industry experience beyond doctoral studies is desirable as well as an ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary project and course development with other departments across campus.
