Professor and Head of Communication Sciences and Disorders

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Oklahoma State University (OSU Stillwater) seeks a dynamic individual for the position of Department Head to enhance the excellence of our program. The department s primary mission is to be a premier academic program in Oklahoma as well as in the country. In line with this mission the department operates state of the art speech-language-hearing clinics in Stillwater and Tulsa and has also recruited a strong compliment of academic and clinical faculty. The department offers Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees and has one of the highest enrollments of undergraduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences. The Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of ASHA recently reaccredited our graduate program through June 2025. We currently have 40 graduate students enrolled. The new Department Head will embrace and promote the continued growth and development of both undergraduate and graduate programs. The successful candidate will continue to pursue his her established line of research teach from a multicultural perspective and mentor ethnically and racially underrepresented students. The ideal candidate will have the academic rank of Professor proven administrative experience and an active and nationally recognized research program in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Additional desirable qualifications include demonstrated success in obtaining extramural grant support clinical background in Speech-Language Pathology and or Audiology philanthropic experience and a commitment to innovative teaching and curriculum.
