Computer Specialist

As part of the Facilities Management Computer Information Services team this position will provide professional and technical assistance regarding the initiation and implementation of computer-related business solutions and network development projects. The position will support all software workstations servers laptops mobile devices and any peripheral devices supported by the Facilities Management . Web application and JAVA experience is preferred. Work will be required outside of normal office hours as needed. The physical requirements of the position will include use of a keyboard and mouse and lifting up to 50 lbs. Promotional opportunities may be available through established career development plan. Minimum qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Management Information Systems Engineering Business or other related field and three year of related experience OR high school GED and eight years related experience and demonstrated progress toward Bachelor s degree. Proficient knowledge with all Microsoft Office desktop applications. Possesses skills with administration and configuration of Microsoft operating systems. Basic knowledge of computer networks server-based environments and e-mail administration. Ability to analyze and resolve user issues relating to both software and hardware components with minimal supervision. Ability to conduct user training in many different applications in a professional manner. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide quality service to customers.
