NEW HIGHER PAY 34 936 - 61 137 The ChallengeWe re looking for an entry-level Engineering Technician to join our Guilford County Resident Engineering team. In this role you will Provide engineering support to senior Technicians and Engineers. Perform construction inspections surveys materials sampling testing and construction traffic control. Conduct standardized and non-standardized tests. Compile analyze compute edit and process field data. What You BringExcellence in record keeping. Experience conducting compliance inspections with contract agreements standards codes and specifications. Experience in maintaining standard daily records and reports. Knowledge of standards and specifications and plan reading experience. Computer skills using a laptop iPad and software. Experience performing inspections sampling and materials testing (concrete & asphalt density) to ensure compliance with NCDOT specifications. General knowledge of surveying and methods equipment and materials used in highway construction. General knowledge of math functions including algebra geometry and trigonometry. Ability to read and interpret construction plans contact provisions specifications and inspection procedures. Ability to take notes and effective communication skills. Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. Safety toe shoes. Education & ExperienceAssociate s degree in Civil Engineering Technology Survey Technology or a related curriculum or An equivalent combination of training and experience.
