NEW HIGHER SALARY 38 516- 67 404 The Challenge We are looking for an experienced Engineering Technician to join our Salisbury Construction team. In this role you willSupport senior technicians and engineers administering construction contracts via construction inspection and if needed stakeout. Serve as lead project inspector on small intermediate-sized projects. Perform standardized and non standardized tests of various materials for acceptance in accordance with contract documents and incorporated specifications requirements. Assist in supervising junior technicians and contractor staff and help in the coordination of coordinate assignments. Obtain and maintain certifications required to perform material sampling and testing. Write diaries and reports on project operations complete material reports document pay records perform construction calculations and enter data on computer iPads. What You BringExperience analyzing and interpreting highway construction plans. Experience maintaining completing standard records reports and correspondence. Advanced working knowledge and experience with math functions in algebra geometry and trigonometry. Experience working in a team environment to complete assignments. Computer knowledge using iPads laptops Microsoft Office (Word Excel and Outlook) HiCams SharePoint SharePlus and math functions. Ability to establish and maintain positive communication between technicians engineers contractors and the public. Solid verbal and written communications skills to communicate in a clear concise organized and persuasive manner. Ability to make independent decisions using sound engineering judgement. Ability to work safely in an outside environment with exposure to hazards on construction sites including heights highway traffic weather extremes and traversing rough terrain in evaluating highway construction. Fitness to perform moderate physical activity including walking climbing balancing kneeling and standing. Strength to lift 50 pounds. Ability to work nights and weekends as required by project workload staffing with fluctuating hours. You apply a safety philosophy and program to all operations. Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. Safety toe shoes. Education & ExperienceAssociates Degree in Civil Engineering Survey Technology or a related discipline and 2 years of engineering technician experience or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
