NEW HIGHER SALARY 49 158 - 86 026 The ChallengeWe are looking for an experienced Surveying Technician to join our Smithfield Resident Engineering team. In this role you will Perform survey work on complex construction projects. Supervise survey crews and junior technicians. Make independent decisions. Communicate effectively with co-workers contractors and the public. Review contractor s survey submittals and provide checks of their construction layouts in the field. What You BringAbility to read interpret and explain such things as construction plans contract provisions and specification inspection procedures. Safety toe shoes. Experience using surveying equipment instruments levels data collectors and GPS equipment. Experience with math functions including algebra geometry and trigonometry. Experience performing highway construction stakeouts. Experience conducting independent moderately-complex surveying. Computer experience including Microsoft office and drafting software. Education & ExperienceAssociate s degree in Engineering Technology Survey Technology or a related field and 7 years relevant technician-level experience or An equivalent combination of training and experience.
