NEW HIGHER SALARY 36 682 - 64 194 The ChallengeWe are looking for an experienced Transportation Worker IV s to join our Roadside Environmental team. In this role you will Perform a wide range of tasks associated with roadside environmental operations. Conduct operations contract inspections such as shoulder mowing long-arm mowing string trimming litter removal pesticide and herbicide applications rest area operations and other areas. Communicate with citizens regarding concerns related to the above contract activities. Perform roadside environmental operations tasks including seeding mulching herbicide applications and landscape maintenance. Perform manual labor such as planting trees shrubs and flowers mulching pruning operating hand and power tools and installing traffic and erosion control devices. What You BringLandscaping experience in grass mowing guardrail trimming tree removal and plant bed maintenance. Experience performing contract inspections that would meet NCDOT standards. Experience interacting with contractors and public. Computer experience using Microsoft Office (Word & Excel). Experience working in a team environment to complete assignments. Ability to safely operate equipment trucks requiring a commercial drivers license with both manual and automatic transmissions. A Commercial Driver s License with Tanker (N) endorsement.
