NEW HIGHER Salary 54 197 - 94 844 The ChallengeWe are looking for an entry-level engineer to join our Traffic Operations team as an Assistant Traffic Engineer. In this role you will Review traffic impact analysis and project plans. Perform General Safety and Mobility Traffic Studies. Handle necessary coordination and inspection for projects under design and construction that our Traffic team is overseeing. Attend meeting related to these items. Manage over LOGO and Tourist Oriented Directional Signing (TODS) programs. Coordinate the engineering principles in the operation and maintenance of traffic control devices in our Division. Perform adjustments as needed and making recommendations. Seek funds for safety and operational improvements. Conduct traffic investigations as assigned. What You BringExperience planning developing scheduling tracking and completing projects independently or with limited supervision. Knowledge and understanding of engineering concepts practices and theories used in traffic engineering. Experience applying engineering concepts to solve complex problems. Experience working in a team environment to complete assignments. Experience reviewing engineered plans and details to determine compliance and compatibility with traffic and engineering principles. Professional engineering skills and knowledge to perform and evaluate investigations such as requests for speed limit modifications pavement marking modifications and safety studies. Thorough knowledge of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) is preferred. You promote safety and safe working environments. Communication skills to communicate establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers staff and public. Safety toe shoes.
