NEW HIGHER SALARY 42 464 - 74 313 The ChallengeWe are looking for an experienced Engineering Technician III to join our Project Development Team. In this role you will Perform transportation project design and drafting including drafting estimates site plans and contracts including project special provisions for Central Let Division Let Projects and Purchase Order Contracts. Maintain project records reports and perform surveying calculations. Become familiar with project design and applying appropriate specifications design manuals and applicable standards to develop plans. What You BringExperience applying engineering concepts to solve complex problems. Computer experience using Microsoft Office and drafting applications and in record keeping of field data. Strong math knowledge (such as algebra geometry and trigonometry). Experience reading and interpreting construction plans contract provisions specifications and procedures. Experience taking notes collecting field data and preparing routine reports. Ability to make independent decisions using sound engineering judgment. Ability to work in an outside environment with exposure to hazards including heights highway traffic and traversing rough terrain in evaluating future highway construction projects. You can work nights and weekends as required on any assigned project within the Division. You can apply a safety philosophy and program to all operations. Ability to safely operate a state vehicle. Safety toe shoes. Communication skills to communicate in a clear concise manner verbally and in writing. Education and ExperienceAssociate s degree in Engineering Technology Survey Technology or a related field and 3 years of relevant technician experience or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
