Related experience in childcare is required. Early Childhood Education Assistant Certificate is an assent. On-job training is available. Job Responsibilities Work with children who may or may not have special needs between the ages of 2.5 years to 12 years. Support the early childhood educators to promote programs to help improve kids physical emotional and social development. Assist the teacher in the classroom with activities related to the program. Assist with the preparation of arts and crafts material as directed by the teaching staff. Assist with gross motor activities (indoor and outdoor). Assist with the feeding programs as directed by the teaching staff. Assist with language activities such as reading stories using the flannel board and puppets. Share the children s experiences during the day by being responsive and interested. Assist and join in music and movement activities. Be energetic flexible and present a positive attitude. Exhibit positive and professional work habits such as punctuality dependability and confidentiality. Ensure requested data and metrics are provided accurately and timely.
