Mechanic (MIG TIG) - Akron Ohio - JOB 23-01031Hourly Rate 21.00 HR Akron Area Truck assembly plant operation is seeking a Mechanic. The Mechanic s key duties are to perform custom build repair fit-up and welding assignments. Perform Electrical and Air Systems repairs and diagnostics.Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. Proficient in steel and aluminum MIG and TIG welding. Demonstrated mechanical skills. Good knowledge of tank electric and hydraulics. Able to read and interpret drawings prints and tape measure. Ability to accurately use and read micrometers calipers and precision measuring instruments. Demonstrated full range of tank knowledge and expertise. Ability to fit into and work in confined spaces. Ability to work at heights of up to 15 feet. Ability to wear a tight face-fitting respirator. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Responsibilities Operate tools and equipment and use safe work habits. Perform custom build repair fit-up and welding assignments. Perform Electrical and Air Systems repairs and diagnostics. Review and interpret specification documentation and information related to assignments to assure product is repaired to customer specifications. Repair or replace material drill holes in frame or body install reflective tape replace or repair suspension(s) brake replacement or adjustment.
