In this role you will Approve invoices related to NCDOT corporate credit card (P-card) invoices. Audit scanned backup documentation to ensure correct information is attached and correctly entered into our accounting system. Assist staff with questions problems processing documents. Regularly communicate with field staff to ensure invoices meet NCDOT policies procedures. Mail and batch checks monthly and assist with the statements distribution. Serve as backup to other team members on our Payment Audit team. Complete special projects. What You BringExperience with SAP or other accounting systems. Knowledge of accounting methods procedures and accounting practices specifically auditing experience in Accounts Payable. Computer experience with Microsoft Office especially Excel. Knowledge of government accounting methods procedures and financial practices. Experience understanding interpreting and applying laws related to financial records. Education & ExperienceAssociate degree in Accounting or High School GED diploma and 2 years of accounting experience or An equivalent combination of training and experience.
