Reward

Matthew 6 1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men to be seen of them otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. [If you choose to be seen and admired by men then you will not be rewarded by our Heavenly Father]. [This is a KJV Bible study guide]. Matthew 6 2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms do not sound a trumpet before thee as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you They have their reward. [When you help someone don t call attention to yourself like the hypocrites do. If you do this is the only reward you will ever get]. Matthew 6 5 And when thou prayest thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you They have their reward. [When you pray don t be like the hypocrites who try to look so holy in front of other men. What good does that really do looking all holy and righteous] Matthew 6 6 But thou when thou prayest enter into thy closet and when thou hast shut thy door pray to thy Father which is in secret and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. [When you pray do it in secret. You don t have to pray out loud. Our Heavenly Father knows your secrets and He will reward you accordingly. Don t make it a public spectacle trying to impress other men. Do you desire man s reward or God s reward] True reward comes from where Matthew 5 12 Rejoice and be exceeding glad for great is your reward in heaven for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. [Be happy true reward comes from God in heaven not earthly man].Colossians 3 24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance for ye serve the Lord Christ. [Serve Christ and receive the reward. What happens if you don t serve Christ No reward]. Hebrews 11 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. [It is not possible to please man and God at the same time. We must believe (have faith) in Him seek Him diligently and He will be pleased and reward us regardless of what an unbeliever thinks].Other important verses Matthew 16 27 Revelation 20 13 and 22 12.2 Corinthians 5 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ that every one may receive the things done in his body according to that he hath done whether it be good or bad.We must all make a choice in this life on which our eternal fate rests.
