We are looking for an experienced Carpenter who would like to join our team. Employer Factoryedge Construction Ltd.Position Full-time Carpenter (NOC Code 72310)Vacancy 3 Main Duties - Read and interpret blueprints drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements - Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools - Measure cut shape assemble and join materials made of wood wood substitutes lightweight steel and other materials - Build foundations install floor beams lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems - Fit and install trim items such as doors stairs moulding and hardware - Maintain repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills mines hospitals industrial plants and other establishments - Supervise apprentices and other construction workers - May prepare cost estimates for clients. Requirement - Education Completion of secondary school is required. - Work Experience Completion of a three- to four-year apprenticeship program OR over four years of work experience in the trade particularly in the construction field. Conditions - Wage 30.00 31.00 hour- Working Condition 30 - 40 hours a week.- Benefit 10 days or 4% from gross income for paid vacation per year.- Business Location 1631 Comox St 101 Vancouver BC V6G 1P4- Work Location Various locations in the Lower Mainland.
