Romans 2 29 But he is a Jew which is one inwardly and circumcision is that of the heart in the spirit and not in the letter whose praise is not of men but of God. (Today circumcision is of the heart not the flesh). Romans 3 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Galatians 16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by the faith of Jesus Christ even we have believed in Jesus Christ that we might be justified by the faith of Christ and not by the works of the law for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. (Circumcision was a law ordinance a work a sign in the flesh. No one will be justified by the deeds of the law. The Law has a purpose though it shows us what sin is. Faith in Jesus Christ is what saves you not circumcision or any other deed work for that matter). Colossians 2 11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ Colossians 2 12 Buried with him in baptism wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God who hath raised him from the dead.Colossians 2 13 And you being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh hath he quickened together with him having forgiven you all trespasses Colossians 2 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us which was contrary to us and took it out of the way nailing it to his cross (Blood ordinances were nailed to the cross with Christ). Colossians 3 11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew circumcision nor uncircumcision Barbarian Scythian bond nor free but Christ is all and in all. My thoughts based on the above verses Circumcision of the flesh is not necessary today because blood ordinances were nailed to the cross with Jesus Christ (Colossians 2 14). Some parents have their sons circumcised so that they will look like all the other males in their culture. Some parents are concerned that their son would someday be in a locker room and find himself different from everyone else. In some cultures though males are not commonly circumcised. There is also the issue of health. Doctors debate back and forth in regard to whether there are any health benefits to circumcision. Any parents with such concerns should definitely speak with a doctor in regards to this issue. If you want to be free from the bondage of deception (caused by listening to false teachers those that are biblically illiterate liars etc.) learn the truth by studying the word of God completely as we are commanded to do don t be destroyed for lack of knowledge of God s word. Another really good reason to study is you will not hear God s word today where you should hear His word (in church). 2 Timothy 2 15 Study to show thyself approved unto God a workman that needeth not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth. John 8 32 And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. John 17 17 Sanctify them through thy truth thy word is truth. Amos 8 11 Behold the days come saith the Lord GOD that I will send a famine in the land not a famine of bread nor a thirst for water but of hearing the words of the LORD (That famine for hearing the Word of the Lord is upon us now. People are starving for the truth in the Word. Sadly fairy tales false teachings traditions and commandments of men are all that are taught in most churches today. You can overcome the famine by actually studying the word of God yourself what a concept). By studying the Bible yourself you will discover amazing things that sadly you will never hear while sitting in a church pew.
