FEA Engineer Research Engineer - Akron OH - JOB 23-00346 Salary 90K - 120K Permanent Position with Benefits We are seeking and FEA Engineering for a well-established tire research and development company in the Akron OH area. Required Master of Science degree in Mechanical or related engineering field with finite element methods course work required PhD strongly preferred Minimum 2 years of recent within last 3 years relevant experience applying and developing nonlinear FEA methods for product performance investigations Experience using commercial FEA software codes Abaqus required experience with Nastran also preferred Proficiency with the following applications preferred Nonlinear viscoelastic materials - characterization and application Solid and cord mechanics Contact and friction mechanics structural dynamics rotating dynamics eigenvalues forced responses and signal analysis concepts Computer coding skills using general purpose software Python proficiency mandatory Matlab etc. Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.
