Workline Solutions is hiring a Sewing Operator for the city of Anaheim1st shift 5 30am - 2pm 17.50hrJob DescriptionSewing Operator - This position covers a variety of skill sets for the creation of carbon fiber Distribution Bags in the sewing department.EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent General AssignmentsWorks in a safe manner and reports unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor Understands quality policy and his her role in producing a quality product Reports daily to his her assigned area Achieves required efficiencies as defined by task assigned Maintains required traceability of AS91000 Completes Maintains required paperwork labeling for assigned task Produces a quality product Maintains a clean and tidy work area performs required cleaning at end of shifts Tasks and Work Activities - SewingReview documentation for sewing instructions for job number fabric type and lot number and any other special sewing instructions. Ensure sewing machines are clean free of debris oil and other contaminants. Maintain sewing department clean and neatly organized. Cut fabric using templates gather fabric start assembling and sew together bag. After each bag is completed inspect the quality and perform the Go NoGo test. Report any nonconformance to immediate supervisor. Record the number of bags created. Package bags for QC testing and shipping Other responsibilities as required by management. Communicating with Supervisors - Providing necessary information to supervisors regarding any issues encountered during the twisting winding process. May assist with set up and weaving as well depending on workload. Knowledge and SkillsFamiliarity with a Manufacturing environment Experience with commercial sewing Must demonstrate oral written and reading comprehension of the English language. Critical Thinking- Using logic and reasoning to identify the solution to problems. Communication with others to convey information effectively Must possess basic math skills Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and able to collaborate in a team environment to complete objectives on time Must be reliable adaptable and open to change Must have own reliable transportation Must be available to work Overtime and open to rotating weekend shifts as assigned Work Environment Physical RequirementsIndoors - This position is located in the Production Plant.
