Company Matthew TapperBusiness Information We specialize in residential projects in the Calgary Region.Business Address 630 15th Avenue NE Calgary AB T2E 1H8Work Location Various locations across the Calgary Region AlbertaType of Employment Full time Seasonal 9-months contractEstimated Start Date As soon as possible Job Duties -Install or replace asphalt shingles wood shingles and shakes and masonry or bakedclay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.- Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or aboveground level- Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools- Install repair or replace shingles shakes and other roofing tiles on sloped roofs ofbuildings- Install repair or replace single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materialssuch as modified plastics elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions- Install sheet metal flashings- Estimate costs and materials- Read and interpret blueprints maps drawings and specifications- Erect and install scaffolding falsework and other working platforms- Instruct apprentices- Set up scaffolding to provide safe access to roofs RequirementsEducation Some secondary school is requiredExperience A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field are required.Work conditions and Physical capabilities Fast-paced environment Repetitive Tasks Handling heavy loads Physically demanding Work under pressure At heights Attention to detail Combination of sitting standing walking Bending crouching kneeling.Personal suitability Organized Team player Initiative Accurate Client focus ReliabilityWeight handling Up to 45kg (100 lbs)Language English is required.Salary 27.00 to 29.00 hourly 30 - 50 hours per week Benefits Accommodation available at a cost. Transportation among work locations is provided. Transportation costs covered if workers need to relocate. Uniforms and PPE provided.Important Information Work schedule is 5 days a week on a rotational basis. Workers must work 9 10 hours shifts set between 7 00 am and 7 00 pm. However flexibility on schedule is required as some days will start earlier and others finish later depending on the business needs. Work on weekends and holidays may be required. Overtime is required.
