POSITION SUMMARY Management Business Solutions (MBS) is actively seeking an Operations Manager for our Lakeshore client. This person s focus will be in establishing and achieving operational goals in the areas of safety quality dependability cost process improvement performance management and employee satisfaction. This person will be responsible for managing results through Corporate Performance and Lean Systems methodologies while achieving forward-thinking cultural alignment and adoption of best people practices for employee engagement and excellence. There are two locations available Muskegon and Spring Lake MI. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and execute Lean Production Systems (e.g. TPS etc.) across all plant operations (Manufacturing Engineering Scheduling Supply Chain Safety etc.) using continuous improvement principles. Lead cross-functional organizational and cultural change to ensure improved communication across all levels and departments to engage all levels of the workforce and to maximize team member and leadership development. Assess and improve process capabilities and controls to effectively lead plant operations Utilize Value Stream Management Balanced Scorecard and other metrics to increase efficiency and performance reduce workplace risk and increase employee involvement. Adhere to and coordinate operational budgets and capital plans appropriation requests and project follow-up. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor s Degree in Business Engineering or Operations Management or related field is required. Eight (8) years of management experience in a manufacturing environment including at least five (5) years at a senior management level is required. Strong experience with Lean Production System methodologies (ex. Toyota Production System etc.) and successful history of change management. Excellent verbal interpersonal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work on multiple projects at one time.
