They were originally written in the languages of Hebrew Chaldean [O.T.] and Greek [N.T.]. The 70 each translators commissioned by King James in 1611 did their best but did make mistakes. Sometimes on purpose most of the time not on purpose. Can you read any of the original languages Probably not. Dr. Strong took each English word in the KJV Bible and took it back to the original language and he shows us the meaning of that original word in English. Most of the time the meanings are exactly alike. In some cases the meanings are totally different. It is really important to know exactly what the key words mean. I ll give you an example. The word [fear] for instance as used in verses like fear the Lord thy God (Deuteronomy 6 2) would have been better translated as revere the Lord thy God. The word fear alone does not communicate the whole complete meaning. It is imperative that we revere our God displaying a profound reverence humility and willingness to obey Him a godly fear of Him rather than being just physically afraid of Him. One word not properly or completely translated can change the meaning of a whole verse. Because of that incomplete translation many think God woke up today and said who can I zap today . Many are led to believe He is not to be revered and loved but a God to be physically afraid of therefore many shun Him and never obey Him. There are more mistranslations like this one the word (kill) for instance. Discover them. We must not allow poor scholarship to obscure the truth of His Word. When you come to know the true meaning of the words in the KJV Bible you gain a much more in depth meaning of each and every verse. What the Bible truly says is revealed to you.
