Unified Engineering.com Corp. is looking for a full-time Welder-Fitter at 171 Niagara St Hamilton ON L8L 6A8 Canada. There are 8 positions available.Main duties are as follows but not limited to Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) gas metal arc welding (GMAW) flux-cored arc welding (FCAW) plasma arc welding (PAW) shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) and oxy-acetylene welding (OAW) Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment Operate brazing and soldering equipment Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes shears and other metal straightening and bending machines Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers. Welding training certificate and ability to pass welding tests Experience in manual and semi-automatic welding processes Perform manual fit-up operations and welding as required Operate various hand tools and machinery used in fabrication Ability to perform manual and semi-automatic to company standards Ability to operate shop fabricating and welding equipment Capable of working in a production team environment with minimum supervision Hours of work are 40 hours week (overtime pay after 44 hours). Pay is 27.89 hour. Successful candidates must speak English and have completed high school.
