Monitor gauges visual monitoring to verify specified processing conditions and make adjustments to process variables such as ingredient inputs temperature settings on the ovens and adjust the speed on the conveyor belts in the crouton oven. Maintain shift logs of production and other relevant data. Record production information such as quantity weight size date and type of products produced. Set up production equipment and start conveyers before production resumes for the week. Inspect products for defects and to ensure conformance to company standards and perform corrective machine adjustments as necessary. Check product specification to ensure correct raw materials are being used and coding is correct. Listen for malfunction alarms and shut down equipment and notify supervision and maintenance when necessary. Ensure equipment is clean washed and sterilized before using in the production area. Set ups machines and changes set-ups as required and adjusts the machines as necessary. Pack production units in cases according to case pack specifications and ensures product units being packed are to quality and product specifications including color weight size and appearance. Ensure that finished cases are accurately coded and identified. Place finished cases on pallets and labels pallets correctly record packaging documents accurately and fashion. Operates various packaging equipment which may include but is not limited to metal detectors conveyors box tapers pallet jacks pallet wrappers and bag counters.
