Job descriptionAssistant Property Manager Responsibilities The candidate would work closely with the Property Manager often assuming responsibility for the operations of the property in the absence of the Manager. Daily the Assistant Property Manager would perform tasks associated with all phases of operations and financial performance of the property including occupancy collections resident services and actions to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and company policies staff supervision and maintenance including general appearance and upkeep. The candidate must have excellent communication skills demonstrate a professional appearance and demeanor and be computer literate. Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in the management industry.Assistant Property Manager Responsibilities The job scope includes but is not limited to the following duties Ability to multi-task in fast-paced workplace and effectively prioritize job duties. Preparing and scheduling property viewings conducting property tours and interviewing prospective tenants. Processing applications conducting credit checks. Inspecting property conditions and coordinating maintenance activities. Monitor the accuracy and or administer all lease documents. Act in representation of the company owners when handling resident complaints requests maintenance issues renewals and all other matters relating to residents and resolve them quickly. Create and maintain excellent ongoing relationships with potential and current residents. Maintain professional demeanor during high stress situations. Help plan schedule and organize resident functions as needed to promote resident retention and increase resident satisfaction. Must be able to physically access all exterior and interior parts of the community and amenity areas. Assist Manager in maintaining budgeted occupancy levels at approved rental rates Collect and secure rental payments. Deliver late rent letters and notices to vacate and contact those who have unpaid owed rent. Assist with eviction of residents in compliance with court orders and directions from owner s attorneys. Assist the Property Manager in various tasks as needed. Managing budgets accounts rent collections and tenant notices. Creating and distributing marketing materials to attract new tenants. Maintaining organized and updated resident files and records. Reporting any problems or issues to the property manager. Assistant Property Manager Requirements High school diploma GED. Previous experience in property management or real estate. Working knowledge of industry standards and regulations. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Basic bookkeeping skills.
