Manual Machinist - Manual Boring Mill Lathe Drill Press Shaper Bridgeport - Medina OH - JOB 22-00653 Pay Range 18.00 - 25.00 HR Permanent Position with Benefits. A manufacturer of current carrying devices is seeking to hire a Manual Machinist to set up and operate various types of machine tools with minimum supervision. This job includes machining large copper castings weldments. As well as turning drilling tapping and facing of steel stainless steel and sometimes aluminum. Experience in operating a horizontal manual boring mill is mandatory. 1 st Shift 7 00 AM to 3 00 PM REQUIREMENTSJourneyman s Card or several years experience as a manual machinist. Experience with overhead cranes rigging fork lifts and assembly with fasteners and hand tools is helpful as well. Sets up and operates various types of machine tools with minimum supervision. Complete understanding of all hand measuring devices. Ability to perform basic math functions (addition subtraction multiplication division). Ability to read and understand complex blueprints and layouts. This position requires close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Sharpen tools as required. Perform daily maintenance of equipment. The employee is routinely required to lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally must lift weights up to 50 pounds. At times required to stoop bend kneel or crouch. Read and follow work order instructions. Change tooling without assistance. Keep work area clean. Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
