In April 2010 Maru Sushi opened its doors to Chilliwack customers with merely 4 tables. Thanks to everyone s support we successfully expanded our restaurant to 18 tables by May 2012. Throughout the years it has been our pride and joy to serve our customers the most delicious food prepared with the freshest ingredients and served in a relaxed and cozy environment. Our menu creatively combines Korean Japanese and Chinese food. We are looking for an experienced full-time Food Service Supervisor. Employer Maru SushiPosition Full-time Food Service SupervisorOpen position 2 Responsibilities - Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food - Perform restaurant opening closing reporting duties including cleaning dishwashing food storage etc.- Supervise staff performance and assign duties.- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.- Keep records such as the amount and cost of meals served and hours worked by employees.- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food - Train staff in job duties sanitation and safety procedures - Estimate and order ingredients and supplies - Address customers complaints or concerns (Respond to customer issues) - Maintain records of stock repairs sales and wastage. Requirement - Completion of secondary school is required.- Completion of a community college program in food service administration or a related discipline would be an asset.- 2 years of experience in food preparation or service is required.- Good communication skills- Good knowledge of food preparation and service.
