Just so you know no human Christian or not is perfect. The word perfect would have been better translated mature or complete . The one and only perfect one is our Father in heaven our Creator God These few verses below let all humans know that none of us are perfect especially when compared to God.Numbers 23 19 God is not a man that he should lie neither the son of man that he should repent hath he said and shall he not do it or hath he spoken and shall he not make it good (God doesn t lie men do). Psalm 119 160 Thy word is true from the beginning and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. How can a mere human being think that they are perfect It boggles my mind that some have trouble with this).How does a true believer become more complete and mature That is very simple cover to cover study of God s word.2 Timothy 2 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God a workman that needeth not to be ashamed rightly dividing the world of truth. This is how you become approved unto God (more complete more mature in His Word). You study His Word and apply those teachings and words to your life you become a doer and not just a hearer. Don t worry about what some man might think of you for it is God that we are to please.Galatians 1 10 For do I now persuade men or God or do I seek to please men for if I yet pleased men I should not be the servant of Christ. (You cannot please God and man at the same time. Whom do you choose to please) Jeremiah 17 5 Thus saith the LORD Cursed be the man that trusteth in man and maketh flesh his arm and whose heart departeth from the LORD. (God is warning us Don t listen to man don t put your faith in man).Jeremiah 17 7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD and whose hope the LORD is. This is the opposite of verse five. Here blessed is the man that puts his faith and complete trust in the Lord. This separates the man that is to be blessed from the man that will be cursed. The cursed man is looking to man and his traditions and here the man is looking only to the Word of God and trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ and placing his hope of salvation in God only.
