Great opportunity in the City of Industry Hiring Production Supervisor for 2nd shift.3pm start timeMeat processing plant incorporates the latest technology and best manufacturing practices to efficiently produce customized products for the food industry. They can create any meat protein into a ready-to-eat meal component service or wall deli meat or sausage.Purpose of Position In charge of leads and oversees a production shift. Supervises the activities of production personnel engaged in all facets of the manufacturing function.Duties and Responsibilities Supervises trains coaches develops and disciplines direct reports and all production workers on shift. Supervises 3-5 line leads and a team of up to 30 employees and temporary staffing workers. Makes recommendations regarding personnel decisions hiring terminations promotions and raises. Develops key performance indicators for each production department. Oversees food safety and quality standards on shift Understandings and reviews daily production schedule and makes necessary adjustments if needed to ensure orders are filled timely and completely. Oversees and monitors production at all times during shift. Contributes and assists in the development of department budgets. Conducts and participates in audits. Coordinates with other departments to distribute and allocate manufactured products. Coordinates with Sales Departments on new items or promotions. Monitors the labor costs for each department during the shift and makes adjustments as necessary. Responsible for overseeing issues with equipment or machinery during shift and collaborates with Maintenance department on repairs and maintenance issues. Follows enforces and trains employees on safety guidelines established by the safety department. Performance Requirements Full time Schedule may vary by departmental needs. Adherence to all Company personnel and safety policies and procedures. Strength demands Includes exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally stand in cold work environments occasionally Frequent standing and walking Ability to bend stoop reach kneel and crouch. Must be able to distinguish colors accurately All other duties and responsibilities determined by individual department and or reasonably assigned from time to time. Experience Knowledge Skills High School Diploma some college work preferred. Must have at least 7 years prior experience in the field or in a familiar area. Must have at least 3 years prior experience in a management level role supervising more than 10 employees. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word Excel and Outlook etc.). Ability to manage multiple tasks. Understands and follows all employment labor laws. Strong analytical organizational and communication skills (i.e. oral and written). Bilingual Spanish English.
