New Higher Salary 37 577 - 65 760 The ChallengeWe are looking for an Engineering Technician to join our Project Development team in Edenton NC. In this role you will Perform topographical and construction surveying and roadway design. Perform quantity determinations and estimate. Prepare and administer contracts. Conduct some construction inspections. Prepare permit drawings for roadway and bridge projects. Perform data collection using survey equipment and GPS equipment. What You BringExperience with highway design using conventional methods and CADD software (Microstation preferred). Ability to read plans and read utilize material in NCDOT s design guidelines Construction Manual and Standard Specifications Book. Basic knowledge for conducting routine inspections for compliance with contract agreements standards codes and specifications. Computer skills using laptops iPads Microsoft Office databases and CADD software. Experience conducting independent moderately-complex surveying. Working knowledge of Basic Work Zone Safety and NCDOT Workplace Safety Policy and Practices. Experience maintaining completing standard records reports and correspondence. A valid Driver s License. Management PrefersCandidates withMicrostation experience Education & ExperienceAssociate s degree in Civil Engineering Technology Survey Technology or a related field and 2 years relevant technician-level experience or An equivalent combination of training and experience.
