Up To 1 500 Sign On Bonus12 HOUR SHIFTSWE ARE HIRING FOR LEAD MECHANICSAUTOMATION TECHSMECHANICSFACITLITY TECHSWE WILL BE HAVING OPEN INTERVIEW ON 8 6 FROM 9 AM TO 1PM 2600 ODMAN S CREEK ROAD SWEDESBORO NJ 08085 GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE This is the mid-level class in Maintenance Mechanic series. The Maintenance Mechanic 2 is the experienced journey level class in the series fully competent to independently perform duties. This class is distinguished from the lower classification of Maintenance Technician I by the relative independence with which duties are performed. The Mechanic 2 performs a variety of semi-skilled and or skilled tasks in maintenance and repair of facilities equipment. This induvial receives limited supervision from higher level staff progressing to general supervision over time with training and demonstrated work performance.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform a variety of skilled journey-level duties involved in the inspection diagnosis troubleshooting maintenance repair and servicing of field and shop equipment components facilities and machinery associated with production such as pipes tubes rods seals shafts stuffing boxes gears motors bearings couplings chemical storage and feed systems flow stations pumping stations sewage lift stations valves gear boxes Repair and maintain settling basin machinery cross-connections mixers and hydraulic gatesMaintain and service air compressors maintain installs pulls services and aligns all electric motors Ensure the timely and accurate completion of preventive maintenance activities utilizing computerized maintenance management systems Maintain detailed record keeping in support of computerized maintenance management system Request necessary tools equipment and supplies Research new operational methods techniques and equipment and recommends their application Plan and lay out jobs from blueprints drawings sketches or verbal instructions Maintain records in the form of blueprints plans and specifications for industrial and waterworks equipment and machinery Make suggestions for system design and operational improvements Design and fabricate a variety of brackets supports and other metal structures using torches welding equipment and other fabricating equipment Assist in training or instructing others in the department Actively participates in all company trainings Work safely and adhere to established safety principles and practices including but not limited to PPE Maintain OSHA corporate set guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for coworkers Maintain equipment ensuring high quality production efficiency Perform lockout tagout procedures Perform machinery repairs in a safe efficient manner Additional tasks as required within job scope and abilities JOB REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent GED technical school a plus 3 - 5 years of related field experience and complete knowledge of all duties listed above Mechanical mindset with ability to think outside the box Strong verbal communication skills Ability to diagnose problems and find solutions Ability to work in a fast paced cold temperature environment Experience working on processing machinery in the foodservice industry a plus Ability to read wiring diagrams and parts breakdowns a plus Understand and abide by all safety regulations as well as policies and procedure Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance Ability to work overtime as warranted by business needs Ability to work effectively in the absence of close supervision Ability to operate a variety of vehicles and equipment in a safe and effective manner Ability to work in a fast paced cold temperature environment Understand and abide by all safety regulations as well as policies and procedure set forth by Thomas Foods International USA Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
