NEW HIGHER SALARY 47 959 - 83 928 The ChallengeWe are looking for a skilled HR Programs Coordinator to lead our Ferry HR Programs for one of the largest ferry systems in North America. NC Ferry consists of 350 employees who operate 21 ferries over 7 routes. These operations are supported by another 150 staff who maintain the vessels in our full-service shipyard and employees who operate and maintain the dredge crane barge support tugs and its support vessels necessary to keep the channels and basins operational. To maintain operate and plan for Ferry needs there are several working units providing professional services such as Vessel Asset Management Marine Asset Management Business Office Operations Safety Security Planning and Development Environmental Facility Maintenance Quality Assurance and Engineering. In this role you will Provide our Ferry Division with resources for staffing operations with qualified staff. Be the Ferry Division s recruiting coordinator and organe our career fairs and recruiting on social media and job boards. Schedule training and continuing education for USCG licensed staff with maritime schools. Work with employees on advancement opportunities. Establish career paths with NCDOT HR that best aligns with Ferry needs. Ensure that all state federal laws personnel policy and agency standards are met. Perform high-level administrative work developing and maintaining division functionality. Work under limited supervision and supervise staff who are in facilities located in other parts of the state. What You BringThorough knowledge of leading human resources best practices. Demonstrated ability to analyze interpret data and present to diverse stakeholder groups. Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of state federal procedures guidelines and laws. Management experience including remote supervision including delegating and assigning work. Experience establishing programs and coordinating events such as career fairs. NoteThis position can be located in either Dare or Craven County.
