This Vintage 1940 s Al Capone is a genuine work of art. I purchased these wonderful solid wood-carved antique figurines from a Historic House Estate Sale whose owners were antique dealers for 70 years. They are all similar in design and a few are signed and dated 1949 and Providence RI. I will be listing all of them for sale so I included a group picture. This small carved statue is a beautiful one-of-a-kind rendering of Alphonse Gabriel Capone sometimes known by the nickname Scarface . He is dressed meticulously in a pin-striped gray suit and hat. He attained notoriety during the Prohibition era as the co-founder and boss of the Chicago Outfit. Capone was born in New York City in 1899 to Italian immigrant parents. This carved wood statue measures 7 tall X 3 wide.
