Northstar Access Ltd Sky-Hi Scaffolding Ltd. is looking for full time rough carpenters at 1390 Homewood Road Campbell River BC V9W 3N7. There are 7 positions available. Main duties are as follows but not limited to Read and interpret blueprints drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools Measure cut shape assemble and join materials made of wood wood substitutes lightweight steel and other materials Track scaffold material inventory used on site Build foundations install floor beams lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems Place poly or netting over around scaffold structures as required Fit and install trim items such as doors stairs moulding and hardware Maintain repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills mines hospitals industrial plants and other establishments Use and clean tools as required on the worksite Supervise apprentices and other construction workers. Hours of work are 40 hours per week Mon-Fri. Pay is 27.53 hour. Successful candidates must speak English and have completed secondary school. Minimum work experience is 3 years hands on experience.
