Reliability Engineer - Food MFG Continuous Improvement Process Systems - Wooster OH - JOB 22-00301 Salary Range 80K - 110K Permanent Position with Benefits A 100-year-old food manufacturer is seeking to hire a Reliability Engineer to lead the plants continuous improvement efforts in conjunction with the Maintenance and Engineering departments. Leads projects which support predictive and preventative efforts in plant sustainability and reliability. Works with the Maintenance and Production departments to analyze efficiencies and downtime data in order to identify and implement solutions for chronic issues. The Reliability Engineer assures that equipment and utilities serving the production process operate at the highest level through elevating improvements in mechanical integrity and systems reliability all the while ensuring food safety and quality across the plant. The Reliability Engineer has the authority to take immediate corrective actions when dealing with Food Safety and Food Quality issues and is required to report these issues to his immediate supervisor and or Quality Manager for further action if required. A designated employee trained in the Reliability Engineers duties fills in for the Plant Reliability Manager in their absence. REQUIREMENTSRequired Bachelor of Science degree in a technical manufacturing or engineering capacity or equivalent experience. Seven years of experience in a food or dairy manufacturing processing plant. Demonstration of elevated level of mechanical and or electrical aptitude including installation repair replacement troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems. Demonstrates subject matter expertise on this company s specific process systems and equipment. PREFERRED SKILLS Proven leadership ability Strong analytical and applied problem-solving skills Familiarity with dairy and food plant operations Familiarity with cultured dairy products procedures and equipment Excellent computer skills experience with CMMS systems Micro Soft Word Excel One Note Excellent personal organizational skills Ability to train and motivate others PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Maintenance experience with reliability focus in a vast array of dairy processing packaging utilities systems and associated support equipment. Rockwell Plc hardware and software s HMI with ArchestrA and AB PanelViews Mechanical Design customization optimization Development of and evaluation of PMs Experienced with 480-volt distribution and motor controls Experience with servo motion control technology Experienced with Variable Frequency drive set up and automation Experienced with a wide variety of control and instrumentation set up and calibration Experience in designing setting up and running a maintenance department including preventative maintenance programs. DUTIES Provide project support for both capital and continuous improvement. Asset management and reliability. Identify predictive and preventive maintenance tools to increase asset reliability. Participate in the development and adherence to design control and equipment standards. Develops and supports technical training. Leads root cause and problem-solving initiatives.
