Motivated Individuals who will be responsible for helping with meal prep and serving of meals. Ensure work areas are maintained in a safe and sanitary condition. Assists in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment for residents visitors and other staff members Pay Rate for this Job is 16.50 Hour - 17.00 Hour Shift Timings 2nd Shift (Evening) Responsibilities Prepares food for serving to resident Ensures resident satisfaction with meal service Responds to resident or family member concerns and ensures appropriate action is taken within decision-making authority and orbrings to the attention of the Food Services Manager Food and Beverage Manager. Effectively communicates and interacts with Residents Family Members Visitors and Volunteers in courteous and professional manner. Projects an appropriate image and customer service excellence Qualifications Previous Food Service Experience in a retirement residence preferred in long term care resident or other hospitality environment Food Safe Level 1 Certificate is preferred Ability to read write and follow written and verbal instructions in English Demonstrated empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors Effective Interpersonal and conflict resolution skills Ability to organize work and work under strict time constraints Background Check Required Covid Vaccines 2x Food Safety Certificate Food Service Experience is Preferred Monday-Sunday Part Time Afternoon shift 4pm - 7pm Must be over 18 and legally able to work in Canada
