Perform daily picking and packaging tasks associated with warehousing and logistics operations for Fresh & Ready Foods LLC. Packing food products and ensuring that they are safely and properly loaded on to transport vehicles by following establish policies and procedures. Must keep work area clean and follow safety precautions. Adheres to high quality quantity and sanitation standards. Responsible for monitoring the accuracy for packaging all food products within a set delivery timeline. Ensure a high level of quality on all food items by following instructions from supervisors and managers. Follow policies and procedures to meet federal and state requirements. Work effectively with department team members as well as associated departments (Sales & Marketing Orders Quality Assurance and Production) to ensure that all daily weekly and monthly production goals are met Note - Pay Rate for this Job is 17 Hour Shift Timing - 2nd Shift (Evening) and 3rd Shift (Night) Responsibilities Prepare trays pallets or containers for shipments Review packing schedule daily Pick types and amounts and load food product into containers shipment Ensure that products are a good fit with the containers boxes Examine containers boxes to ensure that packing specifications are met Fulfill orders in accordance orders invoices Carefully inspect and remove any defective products Report all defects to supervisor manager in a promptly manner Load containers boxes seal them affix address and make any necessary notes packages per instructions from supervisor manager Load packages on trucks for transportation and assure the truck is set to required temperatures Always follow food safety and sanitation guidelines Ensure that food presentation is desirable Ensure cleanliness of workstations and floors to ensure a safe working environment Label containers boxes according to company protocol Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Follow company policies procedures and standards Ensure recordings on Pick Tickets are legible and in compliance with packing procedures Assist in identifying opportunities and find solutions for continuous improvement Respond promptly to requests and inquiries of supervisor manager Identify packaging problems and inform supervisor manager for immediate correction Support dept. and company-based goals which contribute to the success of Fresh & Ready Foods Always maintain the strictest confidentiality and ethics on matters pertaining to privileged company information customers vendors distributors and staff Apply principles of Fresh & Ready Foods Demonstrate professional verbal written and interpersonal and organizational skills Maintain composure when handling unexpected challenges and competing demands Other duties as assigned by Team Leaders and Supervisors Qualification Must be able to work Weekends when business dictates Must know basic math Must be able to work in a cold environment 400-500 Fahrenheit for prolonged periods of time (2-3 consistent hours) Must be able to lift to 49 pounds Calculate basic arithmetic Must be able to read small fonts (10-point type) Background check required Drug screen required
