The PeopleReady located at Waterloo Ontario N2T 0A6 is currently hiring a PR 1290878 Dietary Aide Job Description PeopleReady ofKitchener has immediate opening forDietary Aides inWaterloo ON The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of meals and providing catering services ensures work areas are maintained in a safe and sanitary condition and assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents visitors and other staff members Note - Pay Rate for this Job is 16.50 Hour - 17 Hour Shift Timing - 2nd Shift (Evening) Responsibilities Prepares food for serving to residents Ensures resident satisfaction with meal service Responds to resident or family member concerns and ensures appropriate action is taken within decision-making authority and or brings to the attention of the Food Services Manager Food and Beverage Manager Effectively communicates and interacts with residents family members visitors and volunteers in a courteous and professional manner. Projects an appropriate image and customer service excellence. Qualifications Previous food services experience in a retirement residence preferred in long term care residence or other hospitality environment Ability or read write and follow written and verbal instructions in English Demonstrated empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors Effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills Ability to organize work and work under strict time constraints. Back Ground Check Vulnerable Sector Food Safety Certificate Food Service experience is Preferred Must be over 18 and Legally able to work in Canada
