Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician

Butler Fleet Maintenance is looking for full time Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician at 95 Flank Rd Hamilton ON L8L 5X5 Canada. There are 3 positions available. Main duties are as follows but not limited to Perform general services and preventive maintenance on a variety of Heavy Equipment (i.e. Caterpillar Komatsu Hitachi John Deere Grove Linkbelt Bobcat etc.) Check bulldozers cranes marine graders paving and other heavy construction agricultural logging and mining equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions Diagnose defects and malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment determine severity repair and replace defective parts components and systems Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts components or systems using hand and power tools Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers specifications Clean lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment May perform repair work on heavy trucks May attach components and adjust new farm equipment. Hours of work are Mon-Fri total of 42.5 hours week. Pay is 30 hour. Successful candidates must speak English and have completed high school. Minimum work experience is 2 years hands on experience.
