The PeopleReady located at Palm Bay Florida 32905 is currently hiring a Pipelayer Job Description PeopleReady of Cocoa is looking for a Pipelayer in Palm Bay FL. The pipelayer is responsible for assembling connecting and constructing pipe systems for storm sanitation sewers drains and water mains and pipelines. The pipelayer ensures the ground is prepped and trenches are dug out for the pipes. The pipelayer will align the pipes and seals the joints together with cement glue or plastic welding. Note - Pay rate for this job is 13.00 Hour Shift timing - 1st shift (Day) Responsibilities Include Digging and grading trenches to place pipe in. Laying sections of pipe and completing connections between pipe sections. Completing welds on sections of metal pipe where metal piping is specified. Operating heavy equipment to dig trenches for laying piping. Also using heavy equipment to place sections of piping. Making connections to lines including sewer lines water lines and storm sewers. Qualifications Pipe installation 2 years (required) Ability to operate heavy equipment to remove and replace soils and earth. Operate small powered equipment including tampers. Cut fit and seal various types of piping. Ability to communicate effectively with crew members including the written and spoken word. Ability to think logically about work at hand and compare site conditions with project designs. Ability to read blueprints and other project related documents.
