Pierce Line Cooks Prep Cooks has an immediate opening for inPort St. Lucie FL. A Line Cook is in charge of preparing food and setting up other necessary supplies. They make sure everything has been set up correctly before starting work. They use specialized kitchen tools to prepare essential ingredients and create a finished product for restaurants. A prep cook is responsible for the preparation of ingredients and stations used in the cooking process as well as maintaining the kitchen and ensuring it is clean and sanitized. Note - Pay rate for this job is 14.00 Hour Shift timing -1st Shift (Day) and Weekends. Responsibilities Include Preparing and cooking food according to recipes Observing and testing foods to determine if they are cooked sufficiently Storing food at correct temperatures in order to ensure freshness Utilizing blenders cutlery and ovens to prepare food Making sure area is clean and all quality and sanitation standards are met including cold and hot storage Qualifications Background check and Drug screen required. Minimum one year experience as a cook Good knife skills and a deep knowledge of food preparation Possess a valid food handler s card or ServSafe certification - our branch will help provide this training Able to work all areas of the kitchen.
