It retains its original red leather interior as well as its original soft-top. The 13k kilometers on the odometer is likely original. Imported from Germany to the United States in 1974 and at some point in its life had one repaint in its current beige color. A matching numbers example that still has all of its factory stampings and tags intact. It is not currently running and has been in storage since 1974 but the engine is turning by hand. The ideal restoration candidate that s extremely original complete and nothing but honest.The 300S was introduced in 1952 and it combined elements of the existing 300 series with the upcoming but delayed 300SL sports car. The most notable enhancement included a 30-percent increase in horsepower from 115 to 150. This new car was praised by the motoring press as it was capable of a remarkable top speed of 110mph. It also had a wraparound windshield graceful wing lines and a curved rear body line.
