Maintain and troubleshoot irrigation systems. Design plan and coordinate plant material installation including annuals perennials ground covers shrubs trees turf grass and tropical plants. Inspect the gardens for damage by pests physical damage and environmental conditions. Report problems to the appropriate supervisor. Assist with the research and selection of new plant materials. Install and maintain aquatic systems. Perform daily grounds maintenance including trash removal removal of dead plants and area cleaning. Perform foliage bulb color replacements. Maintain and monitor irrigation systems and discuss changes in frequency or duration with the supervisor. Perform special projects as required. Operate turf and landscape power equipment safely on a daily basis. May be required to install maintain and remove holiday lights or event decorations. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures. Report maintenance problems safety hazards accidents or injuries. Complete safety training and certifications. Display clean and professional uniform and personal appearance. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information. Protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards. Anticipate and address guests service needs. Assist individuals with disabilities. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Adhere to quality expectations and standards. Move lift carry push pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Move at a speed that is required to respond to work situations (e.g. run walk jog). Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g. small print). Visually inspect tools equipment or machines (e.g. to identify defects). Reach overhead and below the knees including bending twisting pulling and stooping. Move through narrow confined or elevated spaces. Move over sloping uneven or slippery surfaces and down stairs and or service ramps. Move up and down a ladder. Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
