Slightly compress spring by tightening the nut on tool with open end or ratcheting box end wrench. Remove spring with tool. TO INSTALL DOOR HINGE SPRINGPlace jaws of Door Spring Tool over ends of spring and compress until spring fits into retaining area between door and door post. Position spring in door location and relax compression until spring is fully seated in place. CAUTION ALWAYS be sure to insert the spring completely within the jaws of the tool to prevent it from ejecting. NEVER over compress spring. ALWAYS keep the nut area of the tool well lubricated.
