Metallurgist - Canton Ohio - JOB 22-00053Salary Commensurate - Permanent Position with Benefits Canton Company is seeking a Metallurgist. The Metallurgist s key responsibilities are material testing including knowledge of magnetic particle inspection. Interfacing with sales manufacturing department and customers as required. Provide metallurgical requirement for quoting. Review incoming orders for contract review route sheet preparation and approval. Establish heat treat parameters to meet mechanical properties. Maintain library of customer and industry standard specifications. Participate in MRR meetings. Assist in maintaining Nadcap Certification for Heat Treatment and NDT (MPI). Participate in customer and third-party audits.REQUIREMENTSBachelor s Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Material Science required. 5 years Metallurgist experience Must be familiar with the following AS ISO National Standards and Industry Specifications. Must have demonstrated strong organizational skills. Must have very good multitasking skills Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently. Must be able to lead others when needed. Must have a good attention-to-detail. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment. Must have excellent communication skills (written & verbal) Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook). Ability to interact with associates on the floor and work with diverse work groups. Occasional flexibility in work hours may be required. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally infrequently to customer vendor or other locations as required.
