Cell Tower Climber - Crew Chief - Travel Climbing Supervise Inspectors - Akron OH - JOB 22-00042Pay Range 25.00 - 30.00 HR Permanent Position with Benefits. A local consulting engineering firm is seeking to hire a Crew Chief. The crew chief is responsible for running the on-site operations of the tower mapping inspection services provided nationwide. All jobs completed must be completed quickly safely and accurately. The crew chief has the responsibility of managing daily activities of assigned tower technicians. The crew chief and techs will be responsible for taking pictures and measurements of specific mounts towers and or rooftops in support of the engineering services provided. At this time we will not be installing repairing or replacing any parts of the structures we map inspect. The crew chief will be in collaboration with the field manager and project manager to make sure all projects are completed appropriately and timely.REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or GED Must be a current Competent Climber and possess a Rescuer certification. Up to date on training maintain climbing safety in accordance with OSHA standards Being able to travel frequently and overnight. CPR First aide certification Must be able to climb work at heights exceeding 300 ft. Valid driver s license Time management Organized and detail oriented Effective in communication through email and phone RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor a small crew and maintain a safe and productive work atmosphere Be able to meet physical job requirements Follow timelines and budgets for projects assigned Train up coach and develop crews Take pictures and measurements of equipment Organize field notes and pictures for creation of mapping inspection report. DETAILS 80% Nation Wide Travel and overnight stays will be common for this role. Company credit card with limits on food and hotel per dayCandidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.
