Quality Control Technician - Akron Ohio - JOB 22-00031 Salary Commensurate - Permanent Position with Benefits Akron Manufacturing Company is seeking a Quality Control Technician. The Quality Control Technician s key responsibilities are to test silicone products raw materials and developmental samples. Document and report results. Operate and maintain testing equipment. Coordinate with coworkers to complete team s workload. Maintain clean and organized shared workspaces. Write or improve procedures as needed REQUIREMENTSBachelor s Degree in Chemistry related science degree OR equivalent combination of education and on-the-job experience. 2 years minimum working in a chemical and or physical testing laboratory preferred Experience Knowledge with analyzing testing polymers and precursors (physical testing wet chemistry chemical analysis) preferred. Experience Knowledge with operating and maintaining analytical instrumentation for GC GPC FT-IR particle size analyzer rheometer tensile tester titrator. Experience Knowledge with processing and testing rubber or other plastics. Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
