Our client is seeking a Cooks that is dedicated energetic and above all passionate about preparing and cooking nutritious meals to our residents while adhering to food safety food handling and sanitation procedures. Note - Pay rate for this position is 17 Hour - 20 Hour Shift - All Available Responsibilities Working alongside a Dietary Aide you will prepare and cook a variety of food according to guidelines and standardized recipes Assist in developing menu Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment Safely operate a variety of equipment such as ovens stoves slicers knives and mixers Use a variety of innovative cooking methods with a range of ingredients Clean and sanitize work areas equipment and utensils Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards residents visitors and co-workers Adhere to all safety policies and procedures including proper food safety storage and sanitation Other duties as assigned by Nutrition Manager Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation and ware washing Must have a Food HandlerCertificate Must be available for all shifts including days evenings nights weekends and statutory holidays Background check is required
