The PeopleReady located at London Ontario N5Y 3J1 is currently hiring a Cook Job Description Our client is seeking a Cook that is dedicated energetic and above all passionate about preparing and cooking nutritious meals to our residents while adhering to food safety food handling and sanitation procedures. Note - Pay Rate for this Job is 17 Hour.- 20 Hour. Shift Timings - All Available. Job Responsibilities Working alongside a Dietary Aide you will prepare and cook a variety of food according to guidelines and standardized recipes Assist in developing menu Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment Safely operate a variety of equipment such as ovens stoves slicers knives and mixers Use a variety of innovative cooking methods with a range of ingredients Clean and sanitize work areas equipment and utensils Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards residents visitors and co-workers Adhere to all safety policies and procedures including proper food safety storage and sanitation Other duties as assigned by Nutrition Manager Job Requirements Background Check Required Must pass a VSS and have a TB test completed Previous experience in food preparation and ware washing Must have a Food Handler s Certificate Must be available for all shifts including days evenings nights weekends and statutory holidays
