Note - Pay Rate for this Job is 16 Hour- 20 Hour Shift Timing - All Available Responsibilities Include Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals individual dishes and foods Prepare and cook special meals Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers Oversee kitchen operations Help to maintain inventory and records of food supplies and equipment Maintain a clean kitchen and work area Plan menus determine size of food portions estimate food requirements and costs and monitor and order supplies May help hire and train kitchen staff. Qualifications Completion of High School is required. Completion of a college program for cooks food safety certificate or several years of commercial cooking experience is preferred. Written and verbal communication skills Organizational skills Accuracy and speed in executing tasks Ability to work as a team member Follows directions and instructions Experience in preparing cooking and baking ethnic cuisine or special dishes is an asset Experience using Combi oven and other commercial kitchen equipment
