Position Info Position Cook Terms of employment Full-time Permanent Wage 19.00 21.00 hour (depending on experience) Working Hours 30-40 hours week Number of Positions 2 Work Location 6595 Applecross Road Nanaimo BC V9V 1K8 Benefits 4% vacation pay 5 days of paid sick leave per year Job Duties Prepare an extensive variety of food items utilizing standardized recipes Supervise and schedule kitchen helpers and ensure staff is properly trained on each menu item Manage kitchen operations Maintain accurate food inventories and order supplies and equipment Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift Involve in planning of menus deciding size of food portions and estimating food requirements and costs Involve in hiring and recruitment process Job requirements Language English Experience 2 3 years of commercial cooking experience are required Education Completion of secondary school is required How to Apply Company information 1255902 B.C.
