CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience High school diploma or GED 2 years experience in the guest services front desk or related professional area. OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management Hospitality Business Administration or related major no work experience required. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Conducting and Monitoring Activities Manages day-to-day operations ensuring the quality standards and meeting the expectations of the customers on a daily basis. Informs and or updates the executives the peers and the subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner. Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize organize and accomplish your work. Handles complaints settling disputes and resolving grievances and conflicts or otherwise negotiating with others. Operates all office equipment in the (e.g. copy machines fax machines typewriter binding machine laminating machine color copier poster machine MICROS PMS computers) as necessary. Works with resort departments and other properties within the brand to provide services (e.g. color output desktop publishing) at competitive prices which saves money by avoiding the use of outside vendors. Assists other resort departments with business center services. Coordinates the bidding of outside print jobs if necessary. Uses all standard PC programs (e.g. Microsoft Office Lotus Suite Corel WordPerfect Suite Quark Xpress Pagemaker Photoshop Internet Microsoft Explorer etc.). Assists guests with rental of office equipment ensuring exact delivery and instruction of the equipment upon arrival. Charges guests full rental and traces invoice for proper payment. Contacts groups prior to arrival attends pre-convention meetings and offers in-house assistance to all convention groups. Conducts attends weekly staff meetings. Assesses the market continuously looking for business opportunities and technological innovations which will allow the to grow. Orders all supplies and office equipment for the . Performs accounting functions as they pertain to period end (e.g. code invoices preparation of accrual sheet maintenance of purchase order log etc.). Establishes pricing for all product and service categories (e.g. property departments groups and retail). Develops marketing materials. Benchmarks pricing against competitive set. Managing and Team Supervises and manages employees. Managing all day-to-day operations. Understanding employee positions well enough to perform duties in employees absence. Identifies the developmental needs of others and coaching mentoring or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills. Provides guidance and direction to subordinates including setting performance standards and monitoring performance. Assists in training staff on the use of the computers. Maintains the proper staffing levels to operate efficiently. Hires and trains staff in accordance with corporate guidelines. Disciplines or terminates staff in accordance with corporate guidelines. Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service Provides services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention. Implements the customer recognition service program communicating and ensuring the process. Provides excellent customer service. Answers the phone in a professional and courteous manner (e.g. no more than 3 rings states name and department). Practices aggressive hospitality (e.g. uses the guest s name whenever possible). Building Successful Relationships Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead influence and encourage others advocates sound financial business decision making demonstrates honesty integrity leads by example.
